Ilsur Metshin about the festival of Tatar song “Yзгәреш җиле”: “The concert was a blast”

(KZN.RU, November 7). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, called the concert of the festival of Tatar song “Yзгәреш җиле” (“Wind of Change”), a grand show, which took place in the Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet named after M. Jalil.

“New variants of famous folk songs arrangements were presented at the festival “Wind of Change”. Perhaps someone like the old version, but it is better when we have the opportunity to choose. I like the song by Ilham Shakirov and Alfiya Avzalova, I am pleased to hear it. Young people, who like more sound and bass, will listen to it in the new version”, the Mayor shared his impressions and marked the organization of events, sound, light, singers costumes, the sets and the songs.

“The concert was, to put it on slang, a blast”, summed up Ilsur Metshin.
