The Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest has replenished by young oaks and birches

(KZN.RU, November 3, Anton Nozdrin). Young oaks and birches appeared today on the territory of the Gorkinskoye-Ometevsky forest. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and young athletes-skiers who are looking forward to the completion of the improvement and the emergence of a new ski resort, planted 40 saplings. 275 trees and 2715 shrubs have been planted on the territory of the forest this year.

The Mayor of Kazan talked to the young athletes - pupils of the Youth Sports School on ski racing, which were training in the park for several years. “This is a historic moment. Remember these trees. You will come here with your parents, and in the future with your children, and will say - I planted this tree”, addressed the head of the city to children. I. Metshin also wished the growth of results to the athletes.

Planting of the alley is not the only change in the territory of the forest: the landscaping project provides the ski equipment with outdoor lighting and the construction of a ski resort. Athletes and their coaches enthusiastically speak about changes. “The forest has changed, become more beautiful”, said Arthur, a student-athlete. Youth coaches Damir Nuretdinov and Evgeniya Sudakova also were satisfied by landscaping. “We can train longer with the lighting. Earlier we trained on the range, where only one slide is located, but it is not enough to achieve results. Now all the descents and ascents are involved thanks to the lighting”, said D. Nuretdinov. Evgeniya Sudakova also praised the construction of the ski resort. “The conditions were difficult before. Now locker rooms and shower will appear. Children will be delighted”, said the coach.

Construction of ecological center on the territory of the forest is provided by the project. Various lectures, master classes, open classes will be held there. Since the Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest is a protected natural area, ecotrail arrangement is provided. “We are paving the trail with explanatory signs along the rare trees, shrubs and bird nesting”, said Dariya Tolovenkova, the architect of the forest. Also, children's playground, which will be located close to the center, will friendly to the environment and will be a part of the forest. “We did it on purpose for center and playground will work in the complex”, said D. Tolovenkova. According to her, the construction of the soft coating is ending now, lighting masts have been installed. The opening of the object is planned in November.

The forest has become a favorite holiday place not only for nearby residents. Konstantin, who lives in the Aviastroitelny district, said that he came here often before. “Everything has been done perfectly. Lights have been put, now we can not afraid to come here in the evening”, he said.

Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee of improvements, Rustem Gafarov, the head of the Sovetsky district administration, Andrei Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts administration, representatives of deputy association of the Sovetsky district of the city and others also took part in the tree planting.

The project of reconstruction of the park area provides a minimum intervention in the ecology of the area. Forest improvement actively discussed with local residents, the final version of a renovation was presented to citizens in July of this year by Natalya Fishman, the assistant to the President of the RT. Work on the parking device, the central lanes and sidewalks, foundation, frame, roof, walls, a ski resort, the construction of the base of the bridge, laying of utilities, cleaning of emergency trees, fiber-optic communications, video surveillance, settling of entrance with arches, the construction of the festival and children's playgrounds, walls of ecocenter and roof have already been implemented, lighting columns and a fountain have installed, work on landscaping and planting of green spaces are maintained.
