I. Metshin inspected the readiness of road services to work in winter conditions

(KZN.RU, October 12, Mikhail Chentsov). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan, inspected the readiness of Kazan road services to work in winter conditions. He visited one of four businesses base that serve the city: the MUP “Urban landscaping” (street Grivskaya, 54). The Mayor estimated the state of snowplows, talked to workers, got acquainted with their work conditions.

For today, the MUP “Urban landscaping” has a wide arsenal of special machines for road cleaning: 68 units of winter cleaning machinery, 35 of them are designed to perform operations of the first phase (26 combined road machinery and 9 brush tractors), as well as 35 units of loading equipment.

The company has acquired another four CRM this year. Despite this, such problems as deterioration of equipment remain relevant. The staff answered I. Metshin on the question about the machine life that the technique begins to require repair after 5-6 years of active service.

In addition to cleaning equipment, the MUP “Urban landscaping” prepared 9100 tons of sand-salt mixture and 720 tons of reagents for the winter season. It is planned to buy another 1,100 tons of chemical reagents before the end of the year.

Prepared equipment and deicing materials will allow the enterprise to contain about 2.5 thousand square meters of roads in the territory of Aviastroitelny, Vakhitovsky, Novo-Savinovsky, Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts of Kazan on its own. In addition, the MUP “Urban landscaping” is the general contractor for the maintenance of about 4 thousand square meters roads in the territory of Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts.

The Mayor noted that the heads of enterprises should establish cooperation with the traffic police in case of heavy snowfall, in addition to ensuring availability of the material and technical base. "We have learned to cooperate, but it is necessary to discuss the main point once again before the winter season”, advised the Mayor.

Ilsur Metshin also got acquainted with the working conditions of MUP employees. The Mayor looked at the updated dining room, on the ground floor of which a comfortable place for changing clothes is organized for employees. “The cleanness of the city begins here. It is important, in what mood people go to work on the road line”, concluded the Mayor of Kazan.

Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Kazan Committee of improvements, Timur Alibaev, the head of Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts administration, and others also took part in the inspection.

Kazan road services switch to winter maintenance of the road network on October 15. 560 units of winter cleaning machinery are available on enterprises of the Tatarstan’s capital, including 244 units for operations of the first phase (125 CRM and 119 brush tractors), and 316 loading equipment units (26 tine snow loaders, 117 wheel loaders, 100 dump trucks, etc.).
