Officials’ inability to communicate with people causes public discontent.
(KZN.RU, June 22, by Ekaterina Andreeva). Officials, CEO and service organization representatives should pay more attention to communicating with the public. People should be told about the projects implemented in the city, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin said at the "Business Monday".
"People are often outraged not so much by the fact that something has gone wrong,” says Mayor. “But rather because they have nobody to talk to, that no one wants to meet with them, or, worst of all, that people in high positions disregard public opinion. That is the main problem. Online complaints also speak about it: nothing is explained. And if no one wants to talk to you, there’s no respect. Who among us would react calmly to the fact that no one respects your opinion? ".
Along with the traditional methods of addressing the population, the importance of communication with residents in their communities cannot be overemphasized, said Ilsur Metshin. He also instructed the Executive Committee to develop a system of control over the heads of city services through which the number and quality of meetings with citizens can be tracked. The deputies and city administrators should also engage in this work.
