Four more people become honorary citizens of Kazan
(KZN.RU, June 18, by Taisiya Basharkina). Today, Deputies of Kazan City Duma awarded the "Honorary Citizen of Kazan” title to composer Sofia Gubaidulina, to former director of school #131 Ivan Saveliev, to Tatelectromontazh CEO Yuri Soluyanov and to the Director of Kazan Physico-Technical Institute Kev Salikhov.
"Every year, we award this lofty title to people who glorify Kazan with their deeds and work for the good of our city," said the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The title of "Honorary Citizen of Kazan" is given to citizens who have made outstanding contributions to the development and prosperity of the capital. Ceremonial presentation of "Honorary Citizen of Kazan" diplomas and certificates will be held on the City Day - August 30.
