(KZN.RU,
September 28, Anton Nozdrin). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, got acquainted
with the plan of construction of sewage pumping station “Zarechnaya” in the
Kirovsky district of the city directly on the site of the future construction,
where the preparatory work has already begun.
Andrey
Egorov, the director of the Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Vodokanal”, reported
that the construction of such a large object is broken into stages and will
begin in October. “The SPS itself entered the first stage, switching camera
from existing reservoirs, removal of the two collectors to the switching the
camera”, said A. Egorov. The first stage is scheduled for completion in the
fourth quarter of 2017. Completed work will ensure smooth operation of the
sewerage system and connection to the networks of more than 50 constructing
houses and social facilities.
The fence
has been installed, work on clearing debris and dead wood of the area are
maintained, and installation of construction machinery is carrying out now on
the construction site.
The second
stage of work will include the construction of a new pressure reservoir, which
diameter is 1400 mm. Construction of the office building is also planned. The
new collector will pump up to 20 thousand cubic meters of wastewater per hour
with the SPS “Zarechnaya” on the water treatment plant, whereas the current
discharge collector cannot pump more than 15 thousand cubic meters per hour.
Increased bandwidth will allow building about 6.5 million square meters of
housing for the residents of Kazan. Fully all stages of work are scheduled for
completion by 2028.
I. Metshin
inspected the project and noted that the construction of the SPS “Zarechnaya”
is a momentous decision for urban infrastructure. “All made decisions will
allow us to put into operation those investment construction projects, which is
in the Zarechie now”, said the Mayor of Kazan.
Denis
Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee, Azat Nigmatzyanov, the first
deputy head of the Executive Committee on urban policy, Iskander Giniyatullin,
the deputy head of the Executive Committee on Housing and the chairman of the
Housing Committee, Sergei Mironov, the head of the of the Kirovsky and
Moskovsky districts administration, also attended the meeting.
62 sewage
pumping stations, more than 1,200 km of sewerage network, including 183 km of
pressure sewers and 1073 km of gravity sewers are in domestic sewage system
Kazan. 38 000 sewer manholes are intended for maintenance of networks. The SPS
“Verhnyaya”, working since 1973, is in emergency state and is no longer able to
pump the required amount of sewage. The design capacity of the station does not
meet the needs of the rapidly growing city. Design and construction documents
for the construction of the SPS “Zarechnaya”, developed in 2014, has passed the
examination and received a positive opinion. The station will be fully
automated. High-tech pumping equipment, as well as the filtration and air
purification will be installed at the SPS.
