Ilsur Metshin: “Personal work with the voters is the duty of the deputy”

(KZN.RU, September 16, Alsu Safina). Today is exactly a year since the beginning of work of the Kazan City Duma of the third convocation. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, thanked the deputies for their work, active participation in the life of the city and principled position in solving urban issues on X extraordinary session of the City Council.

Ilsur Metshin noted that the establishment of the City Duma took place during the year, all the authorities are formed, and the tradition began to appear. “It is important that all the members are actively involved in the work on the critical issues of urban development”, said the Mayor of Kazan. “None of the issues did pass without deputies, inspecting the objects, or without studying the views of citizens and labor collectives”. The Mayor noted that deputies visited many enterprises of small and medium-sized businesses, health care facilities, schools, camps, and sports facilities during the year.

“At the same time, I would like to draw attention to the responsibility to the public. There have been omissions of City Council sessions by individual deputies. The Office of Duma receives complaints of citizens to the fact that some members do not always carry out the reception of people personally, sent assistants in their place or do not come to a definite schedule place. This is unacceptable”, said Ilsur Metshin, adding that participation in the sessions and personal work with the voters are straight and statutory duty of every deputy.
