I. Metshin: “We need a representative in the State Duma, which make the voice of Tatarstan sound confident”

(KZN.RU, September 13). Elections must become a popular vote in favor of the republic, sure Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. “This is a test for all of us on the politically mature, the unity of the series”, he said at the meeting in the Executive Committee. “We have to be leaders not only among Tatarstan cities, but also among the Russian Federation on the quality of the organization of elections and voter turnout”.

The Mayor emphasized that Tatarstan respect the choice and preferences of all citizens, and particular importance is attached to voter turnout. Participation in voting on September 18 is a rate support, which is developing the republic, and support of the Tatarstan President, which is doing a lot to ensure that life in Tatarstan would be better, than anywhere else.

“Tatarstan is cited as an example everywhere now”, marked Ilsur Metshin. “It is a big, hard work. And we need a representative in the State Duma, which make the voice of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation legislation sound firm and confident. To do this, we need our deputies, which are always active”.

The Kazan City Hall continues the fine tradition and organizes a real holiday for citizens on the Election Day. Every citizen of the Republic, who voted on September 18, will receive a branded wristband “Ya progolosoval!” within the framework of the project “Lublyu Tatarstan, idu na vybory!”. Ilsur Metshin said that these bracelets will give free use of Kazan public transport on the Election Day, free access to museums, the park of dinosaurs, as well as the festive program at the stadium “Kazan-Arena”.

The main celebratory program will start at 11:00 on September 18 at the stadium “Kazan-Arena”. Work of various sites will be organized here: Kazan citizens will be able to pass GTO standards, to take part in dance master classes, watch the performance of street theater “Kulturny Sdvig” and to participate in the creative meeting with the Russian actor Veniamin Smehov. A large concert program with participation of best creative collectives of Tatarstan will start at 16:00; Sergey Lazarev and Igor Nikolaev will headline the festival.
