I. Metshin “It was difficult to maintain the infrastructure for recreation of children, but we did it”

(KZN.RU, September 13, Anton Nozdrin). No serious incidents happened during a summer holiday in Kazan children's camps. This was made possible thanks to the coordinated work of many departments. Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee on Children and Youth of the Executive Committee, reported on the summer recreation campaign in the capital of Tatarstan, which covered 28,000 students, at the today's staff meeting in the City Hall.

According to the speaker, children's holiday camps were carried out under the constant supervision of specialists of Rospotrebnadzor, fire supervision, the Interior Ministry and other structures. “All municipal camps have safety passports of crowded places and equipped with guard posts”, said A. Faizov. In addition, video surveillance and broadcasting system were installed in camps “Zarechie”, “Novo-Yudino” and “Sputnik”.

All 49 shifts in the municipal camps were specialized and have been reviewed in a special commission. Training workshops were held, the constant work with shifts leaders and teachers was conducted before the start of the campaign. “Today, we focus on the creation of a common educational space, which will not only effectively organize leisure and health of children, but also successfully solve social and pedagogical problems”, said the chairman of the Committee.

According to him, experts are trying to reach the maximum number of ways. Some shifts were carried out for the first time this year, for example, “Photo-School” at the camp “Novo-Yudino”. “School of Intellectual Games” was successfully held for the second year. Kazan teams are among the leaders of the movement “What? Where? When?” in Russia, and repeatedly became winners of different championships. 150 students took part in the work of the shift and were replenishing their intellectual baggage for 18 days. Ilsur Metshin praised the holding of specialized shifts. “It is important that children not only have a rest in the fresh air, but also receive additional education. This work should be continued”, said the Mayor of Kazan.

A. Faizov outlined the main problems in the organization of the summer campaign of 2017. It is planned to complete the work on licensing of medical activities in health centers country camps before the beginning of the holidays. And in the future it is planned to provide the service on registration vouchers in electronic form, the reconstruction of the sports infrastructure, including the arrangement of platforms for passing the GTO standards.

“It was difficult to maintain the infrastructure, but we did it. Every year we allocated funds to run each camp. Today we are in a different material and technical conditions, but it is still possible to note an increased wear on the infrastructure of summer holiday in Kazan. However the children's summer campaign in Kazan is held actively each year”, said the Mayor.

Ilsur Metshin also said that permits to children's camps are still available for most of Kazan citizens. “In Samara, parents pay 2 times more for the summer holidays of their children, and in Kazan it is only 26% of the tour price, which is paid by parents. Parents pay from 3.5 to 4.5 thousand rubles, and the permit itself costs about 15 thousand rubles. This is our system support, especially for large, low-income families”, said the Mayor.

According to Ilsur Metshin, in general, proper attention is paid to the organization of children's summer holiday in the republic due to the support of the President of Tatarstan. “It is important that there is a national program of summer holidays. The fact that last summer holidays passed without any incidents tells that it has been given sufficient attention”, said the Mayor.
