(KZN.RU, August 29). The annual city presentation of
the K. Vasiliev award will be held on September 3 in Kazan; the “Vasilevsky
quarter” will open at the Bauman Street on the territory, adjacent to the
museum of Konstantin Vasiliev. Young artists will paint the heroes of Russian
epics based on the Vasilev’s paintings since the morning. The campaign is timed
to the birthday of the eminent painter. Azat Abzalov, the head of the
Department of Culture of Kazan, said this today at the Business Monday.
The award, named after K. Vasilyev, is given to Kazan teachers
of art schools. 11 candidates, aged between 26 and 63 years, have passed in
this year's final round of competition. Two of the best art teacher of Kazan
schools will receive 30 thousand rubles as a prize for winning. The award is
waiting for not only teachers, but also the students of art schools: an
excursion to the memorial of the artist's house-museum in the village of
Vasilevo. Their work will be presented at the exhibition “Teacher-student” at
the Museum of K. Vasilyev in Kazan.
The exhibition “Three names, three fates” will open there,
where citizens and visitors will see the work of the three legendary Sixtiers artists
of Kazan: Alexander Zharskiy, Ildar Hanov and Ildar Zaripov. All of them were
familiar with Vasilyev, and Zharsky and Hanov were friends with him in their
youth.
“More than 1.5 thousand people a month visit the
museum in average. Museum designed the educational program for students of art
schools, in frame of which the museum was visited by more than 500 children this
year”, said A. Abzalov. Such interest in the work of our famous compatriot
Konstantin Vasilyev suggests that he left a large trail in the history of the
city, said Ilsur Metshin. “Tomorrow we will continue this legacy, put it in the
book of honor and presented the title of “Honorary Citizen of the City” to worthy
people, who contributed to the development and glorification of Kazan”, said the
Mayor.
