The new building of the perinatal center of the RCH will receive its first patients this autumn

(KZN.RU, 29 August). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, visited the new building of the perinatal center of the Republican Clinical Hospital today. He was accompanied by Vasil’ Shaykhraziev, the vice-premier of the RT, Adel’ Vafin, the minister of health of the RT, Irek Faizullin, the minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and others.

Construction of the medical facility was launched two years ago. The new modern perinatal center will be one of 32 such facilities, which are scheduled to open this year in Russia. Today, all construction and installation works have come to an end. The last preparations are carried out at the moment. According to Adel’ Vafin, the first visitors can be taken here in the beginning of autumn, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

During the inspection of the new building, the President of Tatarstan visited the operating unit, the individual ancestral halls and chambers for mother and child.

The Minister of Health reported to Rustam Minnikhanov that the new center has modern equipment, which will allow providing high-tech and specialized medical care for children who were born prematurely and women of high-risk group.

Deliveries in the new building for 195 beds will be held in ten modern individual delivery rooms, where possible stay of future fathers and relatives. The presence of modern respiratory equipment to maintain breathing preterm, modern incubators with a certain temperature and humidity to create a comfortable environment for the care of newborns is expected in the intensive care unit of 16 beds. Neonatal Monitors connected to a central station, will allow monitoring the status of 16 children. Young patients will be transferred to the neonatal pathology unit for further nursing. Postpartum department for 70 beds will be located on two floors, which provides for joint stay of mother and child.

Then Rustam Minnikhanov went to the current block of the perinatal center, where a solemn discharged of Julia Malova and her newborn daughter Sofia was held. The President congratulates Malov family with the birth of the third child and wished them good health.
