More than 1500 police officers will provide protection order in Kazan on August 30

(KZN.RU, August 29, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, instructed the heads of districts and heads of operational services to keep the preparation and conduct of the Republic Day and the City Day in the capital of Tatarstan under personal control on the today's Business Monday.

“This day is important. A great number of the citizens and visitors go on the streets. We cannot give orders to weather, but the rest of the holiday should be organized right”, said the Mayor. “We conduct the holiday not for the first time. But it is necessary to control the entrusted responsible site, preparation, course and end of the holiday personally”.

More than 1 500 police officers and attached forces will ensure the public order and safety in Kazan on August 30, said Valeriy Samatoshenkov, the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affair of Russia in Kazan.

He reminded that the celebration of the Republic Day and the City Day will be held in the 10 official venues. All sites will be examined by experts-cynologists with specially trained dogs for explosives in two hours before the event on August 30. Clock duty of police officers will be organized from now until the end of the festive events in places of installation of fireworks and pyrotechnic articles.

“Employees of Traffic Police of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kazan will provide traffic control and placement of arriving vehicles in parking lots”, said Valeriy Samatoshenkov. “Reserve of the number of police officers will be created in the departments of the police in case of changes in the operational environment, and watch additional operational and investigative teams will be organized”.

“We have taken the whole complex operational and preventive measures to maintain the stability of the crime situation in the city”, said the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kazan.

Aidar Abdulhakov, the chairman of the Transport Committee, said that the work of urban passenger transport Kazan will be held on the weekend chart, with the extension of the operating mode to 23.30 pm. 70 buses will be organized to ensure the removal of the residents of the city at the end of celebrations. “Since the City Day will be held at the family center “Kazan” for the first time, we have provided a reserve – 20 more buses”, said A. Abdulhakov. He said that the buses will be set on the Dekabristov Street in the area from the streets to S. Hakim and Chistopolskaya in both directions. “Transportation of spectators and participants of celebrations will take place in all areas of the city until their complete removal”, said the chairman of the committee.

Metro will operate in emergency mode in the evening on August 30 – there will be 9 trains operating, 15 bus routes, following on the Dekabristov Street in both directions, and the tram №5.
