The head of Department of Culture and the director of the Tourism Promotion Committee have been appointed
(KZN.RU, August 29, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, presented the new heads of the Department of Culture and director of the Tourism Promotion Committee at the Business Monday today. According to the results of selection, Daria Sannikova was appointed director of the Tourism Promotion Committee, and Azat Abzalov led the Department of Culture. Previously, they acted as heads of departments.
“We met with Daria Sannikova in preparation for the Universiade. She led the executive management of restaurateurs and hoteliers of the capital at that time. Huge collaborative work has been done. We noticed her then, invited her to work. She rose up to the head in the three years after the Universiade”, said Ilsur Metshin about the appointment. He said that Daria Sannikova graduated KNRTU-KAI, and she is fluent in English.
The Mayor said about the selection of candidates for the post of Head of the Department of Culture: “There were interesting bright persons, and Azat Abzalov decided to take them to his team. It is important to use their potential for the benefit of the culture industry”. The Mayor of Kazan said that Azat Abzalov graduated from the Kazan State Conservatoire named after N. Zhiganov; he is the honored worker of culture, the candidate of pedagogical sciences. “Azat Abzalov also worked “on the ground” - in a music school, a gymnasium, and at the Ministry of Culture”, said I. Metshin, noting that A. Abzalov have all the competence to develop headed direction.
He reminded that an open selection was carried for the last two months. “36 people said to the position in total. 25 of them for the head of the Department of Culture, and 11 - to the director of the Tourism Promotion Committee”, said Ilsur Metshin.
“We heard a lot of good ideas; some of them have already been implemented. There also were ideas beyond the reality. It is good when there is a palette of offerings, a desire to change some directions of urban economy for the better”, said the Mayor.
