(KZN.RU 24 August, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor
of Kazan, said today at the city conference of teachers that every year more
and more heads of educational institutions understands the need and the meaning
of charity fairs. Participation of children in these on a voluntary basis helps
Kazan to win a reputation as the city of good people, he said.
Citywide “Good Week” will be held from 5 to 10
September in the capital, which will end with the citywide fair of good on September
10. Ilsur Metshin expressed his confidence that the students take an active
part in it.
“When a year ago we started the first charitable
school fairs at the initiative of the students themselves, we have found
understanding, but not from all heads of schools. But today it is becoming a
tradition, of which I am very glad”, said the Mayor.
He noted that different platforms will be involved
during the “Good Week”, including the renewed parks. Funds and organizations,
which help people in difficult situations, will take part in charity events. “I
believe that charity should be an integral part of the modern human”, said
Ilsur Metshin.
“The city is growing rapidly. We occupy a leading
position in various rankings, showing the trend in all areas of activity. For
me it is important that Kazan could win a major reputation of the city of good
people along with the above”, said the Mayor of Kazan. “That would be one of
our most important gains. I am confident that our efforts will lead to the fact
that Kazan will become the city where mercy, kindness, compassion becomes the
norm, adopted by all the inhabitants”.
