The II extended meeting of the Business Council was held in Kazan

(KZN.RU, August 4). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, conducted the Second extended meeting of the Business Council today. The event took place on the stage in GTRK “Korston”. Ildar Khalikov, the Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Office of the President, Timur Nagumanov, authorized under the President of the RT on protection of the entrepreneurs rights, representatives of the government, heads of municipalities, and about 350 entrepreneurs also took part in the meeting.  

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that the Council is developing; it becomes an effective platform to discuss and address main issues of entrepreneurship. “The active work of the Council started this year. Entrepreneurs are working on relevant business issues in cooperation with the authorities”, said the President of Tatarstan. “We tested a project-oriented approach in the first extended meeting of the Board. It was a new experience for us. Now, this approach has become a trend in the government, including the federal level as well”. 

According to Rustam Minnikhanov, many of the issues are complex, and they can be solved only by collective work, reports the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“We can see that there are three main areas, which concerns entrepreneurs today. It is economic uncertainty and the associated lowering of demand, tax and non-tax payments, and checks and administrative barriers. Project teams are formed in these areas, which we will discuss today”, said the President of Tatarstan. 

He said that more than 250 entrepreneurs and 150 representatives of authorities participated in the project groups. More than 150 project teams meetings held since the creation of the Council, and more than a thousand businessmen appealed to the ideas and initiatives. It is an indicator of the effectiveness of the work and commitment of the business community of the republic, assured Rustam Minnikhanov. 

“It is necessary to involve entrepreneurs in issues that concern them. Today, the Council has the necessary competence and the base of the active business and may seek the advice of work core business from all over the country. In addition, heads of ministries and departments must personally participate in the work of project groups of the Council. Practice has shown that it affects the successful implementation of projects on development of small and medium-sized businesses”, said Rustam Minnikhanov. 

At the end of his speech President of Tatarstan expressed confidence that the decisions and initiatives developed in the course of today's meeting will contribute to the development of entrepreneurship, improve the efficiency of communication between business and government, as well as the strengthening of mutual trust.

Business Council under the President of the RT was established in 2005. It is a platform for interaction between entrepreneurs and authorities. The purpose of the Council is the development of the sphere of entrepreneurship and improvement of business environment in Tatarstan. The Business Council is working under a project-oriented model.
