I. Metshin controlled the progress of the yard's overhaul at the A.Kutuya Str.

(KZN.RU, August 4, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, controlled the overhaul progress of yards and driveways on the A. Kutay Str. today. The roads were extended, and drive-pockets for cars and new sidewalks were built here for the convenience of pedestrians and drivers. 

The work in this area, which includes houses №4, 6, 8, and 8a, began in May this year. The area of roads, which require repair, is 9.3 thousand square meters. About 60-70 additional parking spaces appeared in the yards due to the expansion of the roadway and the new drive-pockets. Contractors also had to renovate 148 square meters, and build about 1 thousand square meters of sidewalks. 

The works are performed on more than 85% for today. They expected to be complete in the near future. Repair of the roads, which area is 900 square meters, and the sidewalks, which area is 165 square meters, is still ahead, reported the representatives of the general contractor company OOO “Kazandorstroy”. The total cost of the works is about 19 million rubles. 

Rustem Gafarov, the head of the Sovetskiy district, spoke to the Mayor of Kazan about how the area will transform after the overhaul. He showed the yard next to the secondary Russian-Tatar school №111, where more than 60 garages had been illegally installed once. Garages were removed during the yard landscaping. I. Metshin noted that the park and the playground for children may appear here in the near time.

“First, we have repaired houses in the city, where the roof flowed, and porches were in poor condition, and now it is the turn of roads. So we come to the other issues step by step”, said the head of the city to house residents. “It is impossible to do everything at once, but we strive for the best”. 

Residents approved the idea of creating a children's playground. They also expressed their appreciation to the mayor for the repair of roads, noted that it was a big problem for their neighborhood. The Mayor of Kazan said that at one time he lived in a hostel nearby and knows the district well. “Old asphalt remembers me”, he said with a smile.

I. Metshin thanked Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan; with his support the problem of capital repair yards solved in Kazan and other cities of Tatarstan. “We have already repaired 40% of the needed households in five years”, said the Mayor about the successes of the program.

Igor Kulyazhev, the deputy head of the Executive Committee and the chairman of the Committee of Improvements, and representatives of the contractors visited the renovated yards along with the Mayor. 

2.64 billion rubles were allocated from the republican budget for implementation of roads in Kazan this year, including 500 million rubles to repair yards and driveways, and 300 million rubles for patching and rebuilding worn layers of asphalt concrete pavement of city roads. The Republican Institution “Glavtatdortrans” is the customer of the works. 

The overhaul of asphalt covering in 234 yards and 22 driveways on the area of 240 thousand square meters is provided in the complex overhaul of yards. The works were completed in 185 yards, and they are continuing in 35 yards today. More than 3 thousand new parking spaces will be created. 

Repair of 44 roads and sidewalks in the area of 152 thousand square meters is provided in the complex repair of city roads. The work completed by 73%.
