(KZN.RU,
23 July). A good pace recruited in implementation of the overhaul
program for residential apartment buildings in Kazan: the repair is
fully completed in 32 houses, and the whole volume of performed work
come near to 80%. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, instructed to
maintain the pace and to complete the work in the summer months on
the traditional meeting of authorities in the Kazan Executive
Committee today.
According
to Iskander Giniyatullin, the deputy head of the Executive Committee
on Housing and the chairman of the Housing and Utilities Committee,
the overhaul of apartment buildings program finished on 78% in Kazan.
The works started in all houses, where complex refurbishment is
planned. It is 126 houses out of 158 included in the program in 2016.
Replacement and repair of 110 elevators and 2 elevator shafts were
completed in 35 houses. “The works have been completed at 32
sites. 35 contractors, chosen by result of competitive selection,
perform the repairs,” he said.
“Certainly,
it is necessary to maintain the pace. The faster we finish the fewer
problems we will deliver to the residents. Although, it should be
noted, that when we visit houses, in most cases people are grateful
to the contractors,” said the head of the city, noting the
success of the 35 best contractors.
“In
fact, we have learned to work. There are many different people with
different opinion in case of repair But the contractors find common
language with everybody, perform the replacement of sewer pipes for a
short time, as well as other kinds of work. Residents say that the
repair does not cause any problems”, said I. Metshin.
According
to the speaker, sophisticated technology and materials are used in
the performance of work that can not only prolong the life of the
building and improve its performance properties, but also enhance the
aesthetic appeal. For example, the entrances of some houses are made
with artificial stone this year.
The
Mayor of Kazan highly praised the use of new technologies in making
repairs in the houses, as well as individual approach to exterior
design. “It is difficult to recognize old “Khruschevki”
(flats) in the overhauled houses. Of course, the square footage
cannot be increased, but the mood in such houses, with renovated
entrances and facades, is completely different,” noted the
Mayor of Kazan.
The
head of the city said that 40% of the housing stock, which is subject
to capital repairs, has been repaired within 8 years of the program
in Kazan, and 30% of elevators have been replaced. This was made
possible by the federal program and the leadership of the republic,
which is systematically, year after year, pay attention to this
issue, said I. Metshin.
