(Kazan City
KZN.RU, June 8, Ekaterina Andreeva). Residents of Kazan care about the future
of their home city, Kazan residents are actively involved in the development of
the Strategy-2030. This was announced today during the program "Theme"
on TV "Ether" by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
Recall, the
development of socio-economic development of the city until 2030 was launched in
Kazan in February. Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin instructed to create a working
group to include the experts, deputies, representatives of business, public
organizations and youth communities. Within a few months in the city discussion
platforms are held, where public and experts are discussing the directions of
the Strategy-2030. The development strategy of the city is a policy document
which aims to identify the main problem of the capital of Tatarstan for the
next 15 years.
Residents
of the city are also the authors of the concept of development of the city.
"People really care about their future, for which I am grateful," - Ilsur
Metshin said today. Activity in discussions was showed by the youth, the
students, the scientific community, government employees, representatives of
industry and business. "I met with teachers, educators, representatives of
health care. You know, it's very encouraging when you do not have to this alone,
and not only those who work in the administration of the city or district
interested. This is very important - to feel participation, to see that
the citizens want changes. And they do not just want - they do not just sit and
wait for these changes. No. They talk with us, argue, offer their
"recipes", say their thoughts, bold, creative, and sometimes unexpected.
But all this will evolve in a new document that will change Kazan and will make
Kazan the city, in which we all want to live", - the Mayor said.
The Mayor
also announced personal opinions about what he would like to see Kazan in the
near future. "To be brief, I would like to see the city so where my
children and grandchildren would live. To none of them wanted to leave. And if
they would leave, it would only to get new knowledge, experience and then go
back and implement them in their native land. Let we will have such a city,"-
I. Metshin concluded.
