(Kazan City
KZN.RU, June 6). Condition of cemeteries is a face of any city and
respect for the memory of ancestors. This opinion was expressed today at the Business
Monday by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. Maintenance of city graveyards was one
of the topics of the traditional stuff meeting.
Head of the
organization of ritual services of the city Marat Ishkin reported on the state
of the burial sites. He said that in the second half of 2015 MUE
"Ritual" started to clean cemeteries on a competitive basis. "It
became possible to improve the quality of maintenance of cemeteries and
efficiency of work without appreciation of their value," - the head of
department said. According to him, this is due to the presence of the company's
own fleet of specialized equipment and large number of staff. M.Ishkin also
noted that a contract for the maintenance of cemeteries from January to
September this year was signed with "Ritual".
Head of the
Department said that the situation has improved with the repair of buildings
and structures located on the territory of municipal cemeteries in recent
years. "In 2014 new fence at "Kostiantynovka" cemetery was installed,
major fence at the cemetery "Novo-Tatarskoye" was built, facades of
administrative buildings in cemeteries "Samosyrovo" and "Derbyshki"
were renovated, - the speaker reported. Marat Ishkin also said that in the past
year work on the improvement of the ancient inactive Muslim cemetery at st. Bryusov
in Admiralty settlement has been done, which is a unique identificated site of
cultural heritage.
Head of the
department focused on the work in the run-up to May 9. According to him, for the
Victory Day memorials and monuments in the city cemeteries were in the proper
condition, a monument in the cemetery "Red Hill" has been replaced in
2015, new pillrs were established at "Arskoe" cemetery. M.Ishkin also
highlighted the most active participants in the improvement of places of
military burials: the Committee on the children and youth of the city, student
teams, tank military school, school №137. Kazan Mayor praised the work done,
noting that a lot of words of gratitude from the veterans were received.
M.Ishkin
stopped and a new mortuary complex, a sketch of which was agreed in May this
year. Recall, the complex with area of 86.6 hectares will be built in the
vicinity of 824 km of highway M-7 on the lands of Pestretsy municipal district
of RT. I. Metshin noted that this is an important decision for the city and
thanked the first and incumbent presidents of Tatarstan for assistance in
resolving the issue. Mayor of Kazan said that the experience of foreign
countries and CIS countries was used in the design of the complex. "The
new funerary complex will be built taking into account the traditions of the
people living in Kazan and, of course, with all the latest developments that we
have seen", - I. Metshin said.
Marat Ishkin
stopped on the existing problems, one of which is the falling of trees as a
result of adverse weather conditions. "Every year cases of damage to
gravestones constructions with fallen trees reveal," - M.Ishkin said and
urged citizens to insure monuments from damage caused by natural disasters.
Also head of the department addressed the citizens with a request not to
establish sharp and cutting elements on gravestones and if possible to
dismantle the most dangerous elements in the fences and monuments. These
elements pose a threat to life and health of visitors, as well as complicate
maintenance of places of burial.
At the end
of the report M.Ishkin called Kazan residents to take care of the graves of
their ancestors at least once a year, do not leave litter, take it to the
containers in bags or tight package.
Mayor of
Kazan Ilsur Metshin thanked M.Ishkin for work. "The state of the city
cemeteries is the memory, it is respect for our parents, ancestors," - the
Mayor said. Also I. Metshin instructed the heads of districts and appropriate
services to keep the issue under constant control. "It is important carry
on this work not only in accordance with applicable law, but to do it from the
heart", - the Mayor of Kazan concluded.
