Parks and gardens of Kazan will turn into cinemas

(Kazan City KZN.RU, June 6, Kseniya Shvetsova). June 16 at the Central Gorky Park of Culture and Rest official opening of the season of screenings in parks and gardens of Kazan will take place. At the Business Monday Acting Head of the Executive Committee of Culture Azat Abzalov told about the cultural program of the city this summer, which will be connected with the Year of the Russian cinema.

This season the summer movie screenings of Tatarstan and the Russian films will be the central event of the city. An open-air film screenings in parks and squares of the city will be held every Thursday until 8 September. The project is organized by the Office of Culture in cooperation with the administrations of districts with the support of "Tatarkino". It is interesting that on the opening day and before each film screening literary yards will be held in the city parks. This year it will be held in the format of poetry meetings in the video classes with famous Tatarstan directors and film critics. "Habensky theatrical studio and creative teams will also perform for the Kazan audience with classic sketches, book crossing will be organized" - A.Abzalov said.

August 27, at the Day of Russian Cinema, in the Uritsky park the nationwide action "Night of the Movies" will be held for the first time, and exhibitions and film clubs will be organized in municipal palaces of culture, libraries and museums.

"The 12th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival, which will take place from 5 to 11 September this year, will be event of the year in the cultural life of the republic and its capital", - A.Abzalov said and added that this year handing of the special prize of the Mayor’s Office of Kazan is scheduled.

Recall also that every Wednesday in the Aksenov square near "Mir" cinema from May till August film screenings within the framework of the project "Kinosreda" will be held. In the same cinema number of events of tenth anniversary festival "Aksenov-fest" is expected, the leitmotif of which will be the theme of the movie this year.

Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin noted that with increasing of number of cultural activities the level of life of the city is increasing. "Summer life of city streets, parks, waterfronts and other public spaces becomes doubly brighter if filled with cultural content, and triple - if these parks and streets are landscaped, - I. Metshin said. - Recently we pay special attention to this, and it is noted by residents of the city and our guests. It's nice that with culture behavior of our citizens improves with - people are used to not only relax, but also treat others and the city with respect".
