86% disabled and 77% of war veterans went through in-depth medical examination

(Kazan City KZN.RU, April 18, Zilya Gayfi). On the eve of the 71st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War veterans of Kazan go through comprehensive medical examination. Medical examination of war veterans and persons equated to them began in Kazan health facilities since January 11 this year. Head of Culture Department Aigul Gornysheva reported on the preparations for the celebration of the Victory Day today at the Business Monday in the City Hall.

According to her, to April 11 in-depth medical examinations of 77% of the participants of the war and 86% of disabled veterans were held. By April 29 medical examinations of veterans will be completed. According to their results, all who need will be provided with inpatient and outpatient treatment.

"Veterans are provided with adequate care in all hospitals of the city with high-tech medical care. The relevant departments of hospitals allocate special chambers with improved conditions for them. Rehabilitation treatment is carried out under the Kazan hospital for war veterans, "- Aigul Gornysheva said.

As noted by the head of the Department of Culture, in addition to measures for the health care of veterans extensive cultural program is expected in all districts of the city - all educational institutions, children's and youth public organizations, as well as cultural and sports facilities will contribute to the celebration. Thus, on April 29 the Saidashev Concert Hall will host City Choral Festival "Heirs of the Great Victory" with the participation of 1,500 students from children's music schools, where veterans will be given presents. April 21 and 22 the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports in cooperation with the Union of Russian pensioners will held Spartakiade "Third Age". And in schools, libraries, museums on the eve of May 9 book and magazine exhibitions, literary and musical evenings and other special events with the participation of war veterans and home front workers will take place.

Starting from April 20 in the city solemn meetings, yard celebrations, festivities, meetings of heads of district administrations with veterans will be held.

Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin called on to organize the work so that there was not a single veteran without attention in anticipation of the holiday. "On the eve of the 71st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War task of the city is to express gratitude to each veteran, to show respect and concern surround him. Whether veteran changed his place of residence, or in those days he is in the city by chance, it is important to pay attention to everyone. We do not care about residence of a veteran - no veteran should not be ignored", - the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin said.
