I. Metshin: "In any profession you should strive to become the best"

In Kazan City Hall finishing event of the Forum of young people - a plenary session with the participation of the most active students of the city passed. The children presented the winning projects of the forum and talked about their most daring ideas. The meeting was attended by Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, who talked with the youth, studied their projects and encouraged to participate in shaping of the future of the city.

The Forum of young people, which took place in Kazan on March 11, was attended by activists and leaders of social organizations, the number of which is more than 150 in the city. The forum was organized in nine thematic sections, which covered all aspects of youth development: "Culture and creative development adolescent", "Education and legal protection of children and adolescents", "Healthy life style, children's sports and tourism", "Children's media", "Entrepreneurship", "Environmental education", “Patriotic Education”, "Social protection and volunteering", "The prospect of development of children's movement in Kazan".

The final event of the forum was the plenary session during which students presented their ideas to the Mayor of the city. More than 30 different projects were presented in all the sections, the best of which was chosen by voting.

The first project, about which the students told, was called «Tatar travel». The essence of the project is to create a website and a number of applications, which will become a personal guide for tourists and residents. Children offered to create a website that in a very short time will calculate the best route so that people could pass the most interesting places to visit without losing much time. The site will also show users information about nearby cafes and restaurants, will talk about how to spend their free time productively and interesting. The Mayor said that due to the rapidly growing tourist flow, such a project could bring real benefits not only to the city but also throughout the republic. "We will create a working group and organize your access to the resources that you need to promote this project. Very interesting and necessary work for the promotion of tourism brand of Kazan and Tatarstan", - said I. Metshin.

Another project, which scored the highest number of votes, called "Entry". It aims to help students in career counseling. The guys will get theoretical knowledge by taking part in master classes, lectures and meetings with experts, and will have the opportunity to undergo training in any organization of the country. "We strongly believe that the project will help all of the children to find themselves in life", - the children told, talking about their idea. In turn, the Mayor supported the initiative of the children and noted that the choice of a profession is one of the most important decisions in a person's life. At the same time, he stressed that in every profession - whether the photographer, businessman, designer or a carpenter - you need to strive to become one of the best. The Mayor also said that in 2019 Kazan will take the world championship «WorldSkills».

Charity theme did not remain without attention - a project called "City of kindness and good deeds" opened it. The guys offered to urge residents to the responsiveness and attention via outdoor advertising in public places, and during the spring and autumn weeks of good to install mailboxes and point of sale of cards signed "With kindness from Kazan" in crowded places. All proceeds of the cards sale could go to help needy people of the city. I. Metshin supported the project and pointed out that a good city is a merit of all its inhabitants, and so it is important that good deeds to become a necessity for Kazan residents.

Students also spoke about the project "Remembering heroes" and offered to tell about the history of the native land and the outstanding personalities who lived in the country more. In particular, these videos can be displayed in subway, according to the guys. The Mayor noted that it is important to tell the residents not only about heroes who left a cherished memory, but also about those who live with us today. He also stressed the need of direct assistance of children in the implementation of this project - the content have to be constantly updated to passengers of subway trains can learn something new every day.

After the presentation of the winning projects the guys talked about their unusual ideas, aimed at the development of the city. Thus, they suggested holding a children's film festival "My Kazan" in the Year of the movie, the Mayor supported the idea. Also, on the eve of passing exams guys offered to support students in distress and carry out "a positive week". "Your every day should be filled with positive, - said I. Metshin. - Even if you do not pass the exam, life does not stop. No matter what, you should not have fear. You live in the city of great opportunities, at the epicenter of world events. Positive and appreciation should be with you throughout the year".

After presentation of projects I. Metshin talked with the children and answered their questions, giving examples from his personal life. Also the head of the city awarded the most active students of the city, who created the most interesting and promising projects. The participants signed a final resolution of the Forum, which included proposals for the development of children's movement and interaction between Kazan children's organizations and the city authorities.

At the end of the meeting the Mayor thanked the organizers of the Forum and addressed the children with instruction. "Future is for your and it is important not to wait, but to will and to create, view and be sure to bring your ideas to life. We are currently developing a very important document - Development Strategy of Kazan-2030, and we call on you to take part in it. You have to dream about what Kazan will be look like in the future, and what place you will take in this city, what you will do for it to make it even better. The future of the city depends from your opinion and the opinion of your parents. I wish you success and I believe that all of you will be successful in life, because indifferent attitude to your native city is seen in your eyes", - I. Metshin said.

The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan Larisa Sulima, Chief of the Department of Education of the city Ilsur Hadiullin, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee on Social Affairs Natalia Grechannikova, chairman of the Committee on affairs of children and youth Sergei Mironov and the chairman of the Economic Development Committee Ildar Shakirov.
