20250 Kazan citizens attended the "Ski Track of Russia-2016"
(Kazan City KZN.RU, February 15, Anton Nozdrin). All-Russian mass race "Ski Track of Russia 2016" was held in Kazan on Sunday. The ski competition was attended by 20250 residents. This was reported to the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin today at the Business Monday in the Executive Committee by the chairman of the Committee of Physical Culture and Sports of Svetlana Vostrikova.
The main start in the capital of Tatarstan was given in Zalesny settlement near the camp "Sunny". There 14,500 residents of Moskovsky, Kirovsky, Aviastroitelny and New Savinovsky districts came to ski. "In Privolzhsky district on the illuminated ski course at st. Kasimovs Brothers “Ski Russia-2016” was attended by 750 sports fans, in the Birch Grove in the Soviet sky district races were attended by 5 thousand residents of the city", - said S.Vostrikova.
This year the program of the event included the race performance of “ready to work and defense” standards among pupils of 11 classes of educational institutions of Kazan. The races were attended by 180 participants competing for gold badges. "In addition to the registered participants from institutions and enterprises, there were many ordinary sports fans, wishing to participate on their own", - said chairman of the committee.
The youngest participant of "Ski Track of Russia-2016" Vitaly Sidorychev is 3 years old and 7 months. 88-year-old Ahmet Siraziev, who came at a distance, became the oldest skier.
"It is encouraging that number of participants is growing, - I. Metshin commented on the event. - The main thing for us is the scope and size which Kazan residents demonstrated once again on the track".
Also the Mayor of Kazan has congratulated the representatives of the Executive Committee of the City, who took part in the competition and came to the finish among the first. "It is an honor to be in the top ten, which is headed by the master of sports, - I. Metshin said. - The guys are ready, they have shown the will to win and the spirit of our team".
