For gross violations of air protection legislation requirements the activities of 13 companies were suspended in Kazan

(Kazan City Kazan KZN.RU, February 15). Over the past year 98.3% of violations in the field of environmental protection legislation were eliminated in Kazan. Control inspectors conducted 3,425 inspections, including 420 enterprises and objects. As a result, 2300 violations were revealed, 2261 of them are remedied. This was told by the head of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of RT Ilham Sabirov during his speech at the Business Monday in the Executive Committee of the city.

He stressed that Kazan rose by 37 lines in the ranking of ecological development of Russian cities for three years. If in 2012 Kazan occupied 45th place in the ranking of ecological development of Russian cities, in 2013 is was 16th place, then in 2014 - the 8th place already.

According to the head of central territorial administration of Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of RT, about 72% of pollution is related to vehicles. On the eve of the FIFA World Cup 2018 the transfer of vehicles to natural gas becomes the relevant question. Annually management experts together with employees of traffic police at fixed stations carry out operation “Clean Air”. During the year approximately 1,000 vehicles were checked, 218 facts of excess of contaminating substances were revealed, 218 protocols were compiled.

Complaints of citizens on the activities of companies help to identify offenders - last year 120 complaints from citizens who are unhappy with the state of the atmospheric air were received. "Court suspended the activities of two companies - "Amica Ltd" and LLC "Haerbi". For gross violations of the requirements of air protection legislation permits for emissions of pollutants into the air were suspended, and by the court the activities of 13 companies and organizations - offenders were suspended", - said Ilham Sabirov.

Recall, for active citizens who have shown vigilance and told about violations, a monetary reward was increased to 1,500 rubles. "For the year the management has received 2419 applications, including through the system "People's control"- 94 appeals, they all are considered. 1298 reports were composed, 160 prescriptions, 114 representations to eliminate violations were issued. Total fines in the amount of 10 million rubles were imposed, 19 claims and lawsuits in the amount of approximately 37 million rubles were filed, 76 materials on the calculation of damages under construction are upon the anvil", - Ilham Sabirov told.

Also in Kazan in 24 hours online mode 4 automated stations of monitoring of air pollution, two mobile environmental laboratories, video surveillance on the roof of the physics building of KFU work. In case of excess of air pollutants in the enterprise locations information is transmitted to the Russian natural supervision and in the Russian consumer supervision.

The Mayor of Kazan suggested to avoid violations by businesses, but rather to bring them to the protection of the environment, working closely with each individual leader. "I propose to approach the environmental issue in more detail. It is necessary to conduct purposeful work with each enterprise in the city. All of them have their own programs for the protection of the environment, with which we need to get acquainted in detail, meeting with every leader - said I. And not always this requires money, half of the battle in this matter is the attention of the head of each of the industrial enterprise of the city". The Mayor also said that the city has businesses that protect the environment and pay special attention to it and such leaders should be encouraged, and there are those who consider the matter of secondary importance.
