(Kazan City KZN.RU, January 18). In 2015 in Kazan the number of fires decreased by 7.2% and the number of dead in them - by 7%. Firefighters rescued 71 people. Head of Civil Protection Ferdinand Timurhanov called ordinary Kazan residents to get fire extinguishers. "The call to have a fire extinguisher in every home can be seemed frivolous. However, life shows the opposite. A fire in a shopping complex "Admiral" is the most painful pages of the past year. Saving on fire safety claimed the lives of many people. I ask supervisory authorities to learn the lessons and do everything possible, so that such tragedies will never be repeated, "- the Mayor Ilsur Metshin commented.
According to Ferdinand Timurhanov, in Kazan last year was 672 fires, the number of fires compared to 2014 has decreased by 72. The number of fatalities decreased by seven people - to 36 people, while the number of victims has increased from 50 to 56 people. Last year the rescuers went to assist the population 483 times - 183 people, including 24 children were rescued.
As F.Timurhanov noted, in the New Year the work of management on fire prevention will be strengthened. In 2016 large-scale exercises, theoretical lessons and practical training are planned. educational institutions, nursing homes, hospitals will be under scrutiny.
