Siemens will help to upgrade the Kazan boiler stations
(KZN.RU, December 9, Taisiya Basharkina). New boiler stations developed under the German modern technology may appear in Kazan. The gas tube systems which replace the old equipment in the unprofitable boiler stations will minimize the cost of thermal energy for the population as well as deliver of additional electricity to the buildings under construction. The prospect of such development and modernization of the Republic has been discussed today at the meeting in the City Hall by Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan and representatives for Siemens.
According to Ilsur Metshin the Siemens Company has a huge experience in the implementation of modern technologies in the energy sector and therefore we would like to move to a more active cooperation with German specialists.
Besidesmany urban boiler stations deteriorated and a full repair only gives an opportunity to outlast winter but does not change the situation drastically.
Now it is decided to create a joint working group of experts from Kazenergo and Housing Committee of the city to work out concrete options as installing new equipment in the micro districts under construction and renovation of existing boiler stations. “Everything will depend on whether it is effective in terms of economics both for investors and for the residents of the city", Alexei Frolov, the chairman of the Housing Committee of Kazan notes.
Hans-Juergen Viau,the Vice-President of Siemens in Russia in his turn expressed hope for an effective cooperation. In the near future Kazan specialists will travel to Berlin to watch and evaluate overseas boiler rooms which may appear in Kazan. "We are pleased with today's meeting and are happy to work together with Kazan", the Vice-President of Siemens summed up.
