New station of Kazan Metro will be called "Kozya Sloboda"
(KZN.RU, November 26). The new station of Kazan Metro will be called “Kozya Sloboda”. Ilsur Metshin the Mayor of Kazan has announced about it today. That is the name on the results of surveys and Under the Internet voting this name has received the majority of votes, the second place occupies the "Energouniversitet" name, and the third is the "Moloezhnaya".
The final decision was taken by the Mayor of Kazan. "I am very pleased that the citizens took an active part in choosing the name of the new station. I would like the public opinion to be clearly expressed for other problems of the city", Ilsur Metshin said.
Earlier it was suggested a few names for the new subway station the opening of which is being planned on December. Most often we hear such names as "Kozya Sloboda", "Energouniversitet", "Kazan su", "Izdatelstvo", "Ak Bars" and "Tandem".
