Deputies have chosen a new City Manager of Kazan

(KZN.RU, December 6, Taisiya Basharkina). Alexei Pesoshin previously served as the Acting Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan became the City Manager of Kazan. This decision has been unanimously adopted today at the second session of Kazan City Duma of the second convocation. 47 deputies voted for Alexei Pesoshin. It should be noted that 47 deputies present out of 50 at the session. There is a quorum to takeadecision.

During thecompetition for the vacant position of the Head of the Executive Committee the tender committee chose three candidates: Alexei Pesoshin, Niyaz Giniyatov and Ilgiz Khannanov. Recall that the competition was announced at the first session on 27 October in connection with the early termination of powers of the Head of the Executive Committee of the city and for the timely replacement of the vacant position. The membership of the competition committee in the amount of 6 people was approved for the consideration of candidates. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, the Kazan City Duma Deputy was the Chairman of the Commission.

Having considered the candidates submitted by the tender committee, the City Duma decided to appoint Alexei Pesoshin.

Alex Pesoshin was born in Kazan on December 9, 1963. In 1981 he graduated the Kazan school № 122 with a gold medal. He has a higher education; from 1981 to 1986 he studied in the Kazan State University n. a. V.Ulyanov Lenin at the Mechanics and Mathematics Department with a specialization in Mechanics. He worked as a staff scientist in the Mathematics and Mechanics Research Institute of the Kazan State University from 1986 to 1995. He defended the thesis of the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences. He has 11 scientific papers and 1 invention.

Alexei Pesoshin worked in Zhilbytservis (Housing and Communal Service) of the Sovetskiy district From 1995 to 2000. He started as the Deputy of the Chief Engineer then he became the Head of the Housing Department № 79. From 2000 to 2007 he was the Deputy of the General Director for General Affairs, the Chief Engineer, the Acting of the General Director in the Vesta Kazan Gas Apparatus Plant; in February 2003 he became CEO. From January 2007 to April 2007 the Deputy of the General Director of the "Zolotoy Kolos" holding company, the Director of the Volga Food Corporation Management Company. From May 2007 till May 2010 he was the Head of Administration of the Sovetskiy district of Kazan. Alexei Valeryevich is the Master of Sports in Rugby. He is married, brings up a son.
The new Head of the Executive Committee has outlined In his report the ways of problem salving facing the city in the sphere of economy, housing and communal services, health and socio-cultural complex. "The executive branch should execute mandates of our voters and our people", Alexei Pesoshin noted.
