(Kazan, KZN.RU, June 15, by Renat Shirmanov) Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin attended the unique auto show «Kazan City Racing», which took place in the capital of Tatarstan.
The temporary racetrack was built near the walls of the Kazan Kremlin. The show, which was held in Russia for the first time outside Moscow, attracted thousands of local residents and visitors.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Ilsur Metshin talked with the racers, among whom were famous stunt drivers and participants of world-class racing series, including Formula 1.
Among the «Kazan City Racing» participants were "KAMAZ-Master" drivers, well-known freestyle drivers Anton Smirnov, Kirill Gavrilov and Daniel Bodin; 15-time Guinness record holder, stuntman Terry Grant and Marat Kankadze, winner of the 2007 Olympic Games in the Stunt Riding category and The Craziest Stunt cup holder in the 2010 «Moscow Stunt Jam» street bike freestyle contest. They all showed mind boggling stunts that left no one indifferent.
Ex-Formula 1 driver Vitaly Petrov also arrived in Kazan.
The highlight of the program was the performance of the Caterham F1 Team, who demonstrated the power and speed of their race cars. Behind the wheel was a test driver of the Caterham F1 Team Robin Frijns.
