The first international educational forum «City of Knowledge» will take
place in Kazan on April 29 – 30. The event is expected to bring together 3,000
teachers from across the country, heads of educational institutions, international
experts and CIS countries working in Russia, as well as students from
psychological and pedagogical courses and schools. This was announced by the
Head of the Department of Education Irek Rizvanov at the Business Monday
meeting.
«This is a significant event for the city, which will help elevate
Kazan's educational system and teachers. It is necessary for providing modern
knowledge to students and being at the forefront of educational transformations»,
– the Mayor of Kazan noted.
The Mayor noted that the issues of the education system in the capital
of the Republic of Tatarstan are given special attention and are constantly
monitored. «We are conducting systematic approach, including on personnel, and
a lot of work is being done by the Department of Education, the heads of
district administrations, and the House of Education Workers, which, hopefully,
will open this year. However, it is always possible and necessary to learn and
that it is important for teachers to be at the forefront of changes –
everything that is happening in the world of knowledge», – Ilsur Metshin said.
«We are looking forward to welcoming the best teachers from across our
country and abroad to attend our educational forum. This is very important and
we are paying great attention to it. Our goal is for all our teachers to be at
the top, receive the latest and most relevant skills», – he said.
During the first day of the
event, there will be roundtable discussions, case studies, panel discussions,
and masterclasses hosted by some of the city's leading education organizations.
These sessions will focus on international experiences, opportunities for
collaboration, technologies and innovations of the present and future, a human
approach to pedagogy, and management in education.
On the second day of the forum, there will be panel discussions on trends in education,
preparing students for the future labor market, ecology, and forming a
responsible attitude towards nature. Participants will also discuss culture,
art, and architecture in the context of education.
The first international educational forum was announced by Kazan Mayor
Ilsur Metshin at the conclusion of the city stage of the «Teacher of 2025»
competition.
