A ceremony honoring
representatives of the city's medical families took place at the City Hall.
Mayor Ilsur Metshin awarded ten families with letters of appreciation. One of
these families has a total experience in healthcare of more than 800 years.
«Today, we are honoring the medical
dynasties of our city. A doctor's work is a calling, as well as great
responsibility, an immense level of compassion and willingness to help anyone
in need, regardless of time or personal circumstances. And that's exactly what
you do every day. Lifes and health of people are in your hands», – the Mayor said in his speech.
The Mayor of Kazan emphasized
that medicine requires the deepest knowledge and the possession of such
qualities as sensitivity, attentiveness, and patience.
«This is a continuous work
that continues even now, but we all understand that the most modern equipment
and comfortable outpatient clinics are useless without people, without medical
professionals», – he said.
The Zhavoronkov-Bogdanov family, whose members have
dedicated their lives to science and healthcare for over 800 years, have the
longest medical experience. They have over 25 professionals in their lineage.

years, has trained 15 PhDs and 6 MDs.
The Akhmetzyanov dynasty became the youngest among the

continued by the third generation of the family, was founded by Farit
Akhmetzyanov, a lieutenant colonel in the medical service. He was the head of
the infectious diseases department at a hospital in Kabul. The total work
experience is 43 years.
His wife, Farouza Akhmetzyanova, headed the Department
of therapy and functional diagnostics at the polyclinic № 20. Her experience is

«We are proud of you, you are setting a trend in
healthcare in our republic, as well as in the Volga region and Russia. Your families
serve this great mission of treating people and keeping them healthy. I want to
express my gratitude to all medical professionals», – the Mayor concluded.
