Turkish architects show Ilsur Metshin "Istanbul" public garden project
(KZN.RU, November 13, by Alisa Rozanova) Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin approved the draft project of "Istanbul" garden presented by the Turkish architectural and construction company «Hakan Kıran». The park is expected to be laid out in Novo-Savinovskiy district of Kazan at Chistopolskaya and Absalyamova streets in 2013.
The project envisages green areas, walking paths, fountains and hardscape. The core of the park layout will be a transparent glass building with a tulip – the symbol of Turkey – in the center.
«Hakan Kıran» CEO Ali Ulvi Altan arrived in Kazan to present the project.
Commenting on the draft, the mayor stressed the importance of such spaces, where people can fully relax. He added that he was greatly impressed by the tulip in the building design. "This is not only the symbol of Turkey, but also the symbol of the Kazan Universiade; it's our flower too," said the mayor.
