to SberAnalitika, tourists spent 16.7 billion rubles in Kazan for 8 months.
This is 59% more in nominal terms than last year. Of this amount, 24% accounted
for cafes, bars, restaurants, 22% – for grocery stores, about 21% – for the
provision of services, entertainment and accommodation facilities.
“An
important fact- 16 billion rubles were spent by tourists for 8 months. This is
according to Sberbank – 70% of the total number of tourists use it. 16 billion
rubles – they were received not only by taxis, travel agencies, restaurateurs,
cafes, hotels, but also by the city, because these are also taxes, which allow
to improve our Kazan,”- Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, said.
The majority
of tourists come to Kazan from neighboring and metropolitan regions. The high
tourist season in the city begins in April and lasts until October. This period
accounts for more than 72% of all trips. More than 61% of the guests of the
capital of Tatarstan are women. The average age of tourists was 40 years, and
the duration of the trip was four days.
