I.Metshin and M.Aizatullin have visited the square on Karbyshev st. and the Molodaya Gvardia camp

The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin visited the facilities yesterday. They inspected the progress of work in the park of the 100th anniversary of the construction industry of the republic of Tatarstan on Karbyshev street and children’s sports and recreation camp “Molodaya Gvardia”.

A Summer fountain and a skating rink with a New Year’s tree in winter

A new square on Karbyshev Street will become another public space for residents of the Sovetsky district, in addition to the Komsomolets Park, which is located nearby and is very popular among the citizens, the Mayor noted. “The square is imbued with respect to the construction industry of the republic of Tatarstan. Everything we see in the republic and Kazan was created by our builders, who are great professionals in their business, - Ilsur Metshin said. - We supported the initiative of the Tatarstan Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and will carry out a renovation of the square to remind of the construction exploits of our workers”, - the head of the city noted.

On the territory of the square there will be a fountain, an amphitheater, children's and sports grounds, an indoor pavilion with a pergola. This year, work is being carried out on an area of 0.7 hectares, now the first stage of landscaping has been completed by 89%. First of all, following the example of an artificial pond in the Black Lake Park, the fountain bowl was renovated.

There will be viewing platforms around the fountain, and a food court will be located nearby.

Workers have already completed the installation of water supply and sanitation systems, the dismantling of fences and asphalt. Presently, an observation deck is being equipped, a fountain and paving stones are being setup, power supply networks and outdoor lighting are being connected.

Shortly, it is planned to plant trees and shrubs in the park. One of the elements of the square will be the entrance group with the inscription “100th anniversary of the formation of the construction industry of the republic of Tatarstan”. Stands with information about the history of the construction industry and a photo zone will be placed nearby.

After the renovation and construction of new blocks, the Molodaya Gvardia will be able to admit over a thousand children a year

Then Ilsur Metshin and Marat Aizatullin got acquainted with the progress of renovation in the sports and recreation camp “Molodaya Gvardia”. Since the spring of last year, 10 new dormitory blocks with a capacity of 30 people each, 2 administrative buildings and a complex of showers with saunas have been built on an area of 9.37 hectares. In addition, the workers renovated a canteen, which is located in a separate building. Here, specialists replaced the water supply and sewerage systems, installed new windows, finished the ceiling, as well as floor and walls in the main hall. The equipment in the canteen has already been installed, and the furniture has yet to be purchased.

It is planned to complete the work in the camp by 2023. 42 workers and 3 special vehicles are involved in the facility every day. The workers will have to finish the construction of the club building and administrative premises, complete the connection of utilities and equip the entrance groups. In addition, it is planned to build a heating main, which will allow operating the camp all year round.
