A preschool for 220 children is being built in the Novo-Savinovsky district of Kazan to the new standard project

A construction of the new preschool with an area of 4.5 thousand sq.m is underway in the Novo-Savinovsky district of Kazan. The preschool on Adoratsky Street will open in September 2023. 220 children will be able to attend it, including children with disabilities. The progress of construction works was inspected today by the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin.

“There were a lot of appeals about the capacity of kindergartens. There are not enough preschools in this area of Kazan, so it was decided to build a new kindergarten”, - the head of the city said.

The new kindergarten, which is being built according to the Demography national project, is located in the 59th block in the district within the boundaries of Adoratsky, Chistopolskaya and Yamashev streets. Near the new preschool there are 13 residential buildings with 4,200 apartments. Azat Nigmatzyanov, deputy head of the Executive Committee of Kazan, said that a kindergarten 300 children is already opened in the residential area, but two more preschool institutions are required. Therefore, along with the construction, the project of another kindergarten is being developed. “The construction of housing on this territory was forward looking, but thanks to the construction of a kindergarten, the social infrastructure will improve here”, - the Mayor of Kazan noted.

The kindergarten is designed for 220 pupils, 100 of which are under 3 years old, 120 – from 3 to 7 years old. Preschoolers will be divided into 12 groups. Ilsur Metshin noted that the nursery groups in preschool institutions are very important for many parents. “The fact that we managed to allocate almost 45% of the total number of places in this kindergarten for children under three years old is a good indicator”, - he stressed.

Azat Nigmatzyanov drew attention to the fact that the kindergarten is being built according to the new requirements of the Federal Service for Compliance of Consumers Rights, and therefore its area is 21% larger than other preschool institutions. “In connection with this project, other kindergartens will be built in the future”, - he explained.

Construction work began in March, and today it has been completed by 41%. During this time, the workers installed the foundation blocks, brickwork two floors and waterproofed basements. Currently, 40 workers are engaged at the facility.

According to the chief expert of the Main Investing Constructing Administration of the republic Lenar Khuziev, the kindergarten together with the adjacent territory will occupy an area of 9,100 sq.m. “There will be 12 verandas with shade canopies and play areas for each group in the kindergarten, as well as a sports ground. Entrance groups, ramps will be equipped for children with disabilities and an elevator will be installed”, - he said.
