The Mayor of Kazan meets with delegation from Uzbekistan
Currently, Kazan is cooperating with the Republic of Uzbekistan mainly under the framework of the treaty of friendship and partnership signed in 1998 between the capital of Tatarstan and Tashkent.
Such bilateral meetings of representatives of the Executive Committee of Kazan and Uzbekistan are held annually. Earlier, representatives of the republic have already visited the capital of Tatarstan. They expressed interest in exchanging experience in several areas and branches of urban economy. The members of the delegation got acquainted with digitalization in the housing and utilities sector of the capital of Tatarstan and the projects that are being implemented in the city in this direction. Later, representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan shared the first results of their work, which was based on the experience of Kazan.
In addition, representatives of Kazan and Uzbekistan discussed cooperation in the tourism sector, in particular, the possibility of launching direct flights between the republics.
