Snowy January was become a challenge only for road services, but also for yard keepers. Today, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin inspected snow removal in the yards of the Novo-Savinovsky district.

The first area that Ilsur Metshin visited was the yard of houses 47, 55, 57 and 59 on Chistopolskaya Street. Marat Nuriev, director of the property management company “Uyutny Dom” said that the cleaning of the yards is carried out daily, including weekends and holidays. After the snowfall, the sidewalks are first cleaned by 7 am to ensure that the residents can leave the house, and then the roadway is cleaned.

The Mayor of Kazan noted that the yard is truly clean, and talked with local residents.

The Mayor of Kazan also visited the neighboring yard of houses 49, 49a, 51 and 53 on Chistopolskaya Street, where the roadway has not yet been cleaned. As it turned out, the residents are responsible for snow removal here, since the houses belong to the housing and construction cooperative. The chair of the cooperative, Vladimir Nikishin, said that recently three yard keepers quit because of low wages, so now the territory is being cleaned by the residents themselves.

The head of the city noted that it is necessary to communicate with residents and solve the issue of the lack of yard keepers by joint efforts. “This is the case when you should find money for a good salary for a yard keeper. Be active, and stay in a dialogue with the residents“, - Ilsur Metshin concluded.
