In Kazan, there’s a snowmelt station, which is able to dispose up to 300 KAMAZ trucks of snow per day

In the Sovetsky district of Kazan, on Adel Kutuy
street, a new seventh snowmelt station, was put into operation. During the day,
it will allow to dispose of 3.6 thousand cubic meters or 300 KAMAZ trucks of
snow. Today, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the new facility.
The new snowmelt station is the second largest among
the city's snowmelt facilities. With the introduction of the new station, the
productivity of all snowmelt points in the city will increase to 15.6 thousand
cubic meters of snow per day.
“Another snowmelt station in Kazan will allow to
remove and melt the snow of the Sovetsky, Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts
in a timely manner. All seven stations will help in the average snow in a
timely and organized way to completely dispose the snow collected from the
streets of Kazan. It means, we will not need to store it”, - Ilsur Metshin
said. He noted that this is a big step in increasing the cleanliness and
environmental friendliness of the city.
