cultural centers and the Operenie Kazan creative studio on a daily basis. The
performances will be shown in other public spaces of the city as well.
“According to the large number of Kazan citizens in
the malls and public spaces, they are in a good mood to celebrate the New Year.
We fully support this desire, – commented the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin. – Despite
all the difficulties, people expect only good things from this holiday. We
tried to create a New Year's mood, festive sites will be organized in all
districts of the city, at schools, and we will be glad to see citizens at
events”.
Festive openings of New Year’s spaces will be held in
residential areas, villages and yards of Kazan, A.Abzalov reported.
Cultural centers have prepared a vivid program for the
New Year holidays. New Year’s performances for children and adults will be held
in city theaters. The Tatar Youth theatre named after Kariev invites to the
“Tulsumbike” show and the Ekiyat Puppet Theatre to the “Kay and Gerda”. State
Grand Concert Hall named after Saidashev will present the New Year’s fairy tale
Cinderella. The Youth Theater on Bulak will perform “New Year's adventures of
Gosha and his friends”.
This year, the Kazan City Hall will repeat the
performance “New adventures of the Nutcracker” based on the well-known fairy
tale “The Nutcracker and the mouse king” for young Kazan residents.
“Interactive games, circular chains and other
activities will not take place this year because of the pandemic, but
interesting programs have been prepared for the visitors, as well as photo
zones near the New Year’s trees and fabulous art installations”, - A.Abzalov
said. When attending the indoor activities, it is necessary to wear a mask, and
only one adult no older than 60 years should accompany children, he added.
There will be an opportunity to spend time at sports venues.
Eighteen rinks with rental points, as well as 12 ski trails will welcome
visitors. Seventy -eight hockey rinks are also open for free skating.
During the holidays, special attention will be paid to
safety and sanitary conditions, including the social distance and mask mode.
Despite the difficulties, this year gave residents a
lot of valuable experience and reminded them of the importance of mutual
assistance, the head of the city noted. “We have refreshed our outlook on life,
and most importantly – on its values. We realized that family, parents, and the
support of loved ones are most important, - I.Metshin said. – There is a
positive aspect: we have seen that in the face of danger, in the face of some
challenges, we can be together, unite, and find the right solutions. I would
like to wish all of us to keep this outlook on life and the conclusions that
each of us made during this difficult year”.
