More than 1 million
square meters of housing were put into operation in Kazan in 2019. Particular
importance has the new approach to the work of developers who are not just
building new housing, but also actively implement up-to-date technologies that
allow saving resources and improving the living standards of the citizens,
Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin said today at Business Monday.
First deputy head of the
Executive Committee Azat Nigmatzyanov reported on the results of the construction
industry in 2019 and plans for the current year. He said that in 2019, more
than 200 buildings of various purposes were built in Tatarstan capital,
including 78 multi-apartment houses, 30 social facilities, 19 industrial and
warehouse buildings, and 72 administrative and commercial venues.
The previous year was
quite successful for the housing construction industry, A. Nigmatzyanov noted.
In Kazan, 1 million 14 thousand square meters of housing were put into
operation, which is 26% more than the year before.
“Construction is a
powerful driver of development and a touchstone of the city's economy, - Ilsur
Metshin supported the speaker. – This industry stimulates the development of
about ten different sectors of the urban economy, in particular-the production
of building materials, finishing materials, auto industry and others.
Therefore, it is very important that we set another record by building more
than 1 million square meters of housing in a year. For many cities and even
regions, it's not just another planet – it's another Galaxy".
