(KZN.RU, January 17, by Renat Shirmanov). Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin was shown the possibilities of the 3D classroom at gymnasium No. 7. The 3D-equipped auditorium raises research and practical classes to a new level.
Senior students demonstrated their latest achievements to the mayor. Specifically, in the Einstein Laboratory Ilsur Metshin was shown the effects of smoking and gum chewing on the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. Also, the mayor saw the new weather station, which shows inside and outside air temperature, humidity, wind direction and the amount of ultraviolet radiation.
Another scientific achievement is the mini-planetarium, which shows the solar system and the sky and is accessible even to grade school students. "The planetarium can be used not only for observations, but also for research," the developers assured Ilsur Metshin.
"To motivate students to research, we came up with the idea of a 3D-equipped classroom. This enables students to show the results of their scientific and practical work in three dimensions," explained school principal Lyubov Kochneva.
Ilsur Metshin appreciated the advantages of the 3D classroom. The mayor was shown the experiments by which the young researchers can analyze the functioning of the human body. Another advantage of this auditorium is that scientific films can be shown here in 3D, which enhances the effectiveness of instruction. It should be noted that the classroom is available not only to the gymnasium students, but to those of any other secondary school of Kazan.
