The budget of
Kazan for 2020 in terms of revenues and expenses will be 24 billion 964 million
rubles. The city budget for 2021 is planned to be 25 billion 59 million rubles,
for 2022 - 25 billion 309 million rubles. This decision was made today at the
XXXVII session of the Kazan city Duma. The meeting was held at the City Hall
under the chairmanship of the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
77% of the total
expenditure provides for the social and cultural sectors
Based on the indicators of social -economic
development, the Financial Department of Kazan has developed a draft budget of
the city for 2020 and the planning period of 2021 and 2022. The head of the
Financial Department Irek Mukhametshin said that the revenue is estimated in
the amount of 24 billion 964 million rubles. The main sources of tax revenues
of the budget of Kazan, as in previous years, are the personal income tax, property
tax and lumpsum taxes, accounting for 91% of the tax revenues of the budget, I.Mukhametshin noted.
As in previous years, the largest part of expenditure
– 77% of the total provides for the social cultural sector.

“In general, the 2020 budget considers all today’s
realities. Among the specific features it should be noted that, as before, all
socially significant and priority expenses are planned, the social orientation
of the budget is preserved", - said the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The mayor stressed that with the support of the
President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, regional government,
State Council of Tatarstan, the city gets additional funding for such programs
as “Maintenance improvement”, “Overhaul and construction of new roads”, “Overhaul
of cultural institutions, schools and kindergartens,” and others.
“I want to note that when implementing the budget, the
Executive Committee will need to carry out all activities that will allow to
keep the balance of the budget and funding of all commitments in full. We must
ensure the full collection of taxes and attraction of other sources and
together with the deputies to determine the priority areas for the applying the
additional income", - I.Metshin summed up the discussion.
