Kazan social project “A cheerful person” took first
place in the competition “Healthy cities of Russia” in the category Best
project for active longevity. The mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin noted at the Business
Monday that such a high assessment of the project is important for the people
who are involved in this process.
“Every day the palaces of culture and libraries accept
retired people and work with them. “A cheerful person” directly affects the
mood of the older generation, – said I.Metshin. – We have an opportunity to
influence the positive attitude of people, being actively engaged in the
creativity and health improvement. We must do everything possible to increase
the number of the project sites".
The award ceremony was held in Moscow, at the Civic Chamber
of the Russian Federation in the framework of the meeting of the Association “Healthy
cities, districts and settlements”.
Azat Abzalov - head of the Department of culture- said
that the competition was held in two rounds. Experts chose the most successful
projects and programs aimed at improving the health and living standards of the
population.
“A cheerful person” was the best project for active longevity.
The head of the Department of culture reminded that “A cheerful person” project
was launched in Kazan in 2016 and combined 13 creative and sports activities: vocal,
folk and ballroom dances, fine arts and others.
