Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin voted at the elections of
the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. The mayor came to polling
station No. 270, located in the Russian-Tatar school № 129 in Petrovsky
village, together with his wife Gulnara Metshina. The mayor of Kazan urged
residents to take part in the elections and vote for the future Parliament of
Tatarstan.
The head of the city noted it’s a very important day
for the whole Republic. "Our voters determine what the Parliament of
Tatarstan will be like. I urge all residents of Kazan to give votes at the
polling stations. We do care about tomorrow, what law would be adopted. Today
everything is in your hands, dear Kazan citizens, " said Ilsur Metshin.
About 1.3 thousand people is expected to vote at the
polling station №270 in the Petrovsky village. In total, the number of voters
in Kazan is more than 914 thousand people.
Today there are 461 polling stations in the city.
Electronic processing of ballots will be used at 17 polling stations. Free
shuttle buses to polling stations are organized for the convenience of voters
living in remote residential areas.
All voters will receive special bracelet "I
voted!” at the polling stations which allows to pass to the concert at the
"Kazan arena” stadium. The concert will end at 22.00 with a firework. For
the convenience of citizens, the work of public transport in Kazan will be
extended to 23.30.
