(KZN.RU,
May 20, Ksenia Shvetsova). On May 24, the examination time for ninth-graders
starts, and on May 27, for graduates of 11 grades. This year, about 17 thousand
Kazan students will the state final examination. This year, the requirements
for obtaining a certificate with honors are increased, which gives additional
points when entering higher education institutions. In addition to excellent
final grades, the graduate must pass USE in compulsory subjects by at least 70
points. Previously, 640 Kazan graduates are applying for a diploma with honors.
The Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan urged not to create stressful situations
for graduates before passing exams at the Business Monday today.
131
examinations points were prepared, including 51 points at home for children
with disabilities, reported Ilnar Khidiyatov, the head of the Department of
Education. “All points have passed an inspection organized by the Department
for Supervision in Education”, he said. “The logistics of schoolchildren’s
movement has been considered taking into account safety requirements, and measures
have been taken to prevent irregularities during the exams”.
Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted that these measures are often too harsh and
urged to soften the checks for schoolchildren before passing the USE. “We had
cases of very rigorous inspections. It is stressful enough for children, a big
responsibility. There should be discipline, order, but without obsessing and
without creating stressful situations for graduates and teachers”, said the
Mayor. He urged his deputies, heads of districts and prosecutors, the
Department of Education Supervision and Control and the Ministry of Education
and Science of the RT to pay attention to this matter.
This year,
changes were made to the state final examination, reminded the head of the
Department of Education. Thus, graduates of the 11th grade this year have the
right to choose only one level of the unified state examination in mathematics
(basic or advanced). In addition, Chinese entered the list of foreign
languages. This year none of the Kazan schoolchildren are planning to take
Chinese.
Another
change concerns graduates of 9th grade: the final interview on Russian has
become an admission to the exams for them.
Social
studies and computer science are among the popular subjects for ninth-graders.
These items were chosen by about 50% of the participants. And the students of
11 grades chose social studies and physics. Mandatory exams are Russian and
mathematics.
The
stability of the minimum thresholds in subjects contributes to high-quality preparation
for the final examination, believes I. Khidiyatov. “To obtain a certificate and
enrollment in a university, you must score 36 points in Russian and 27 points
in mathematics”, he said.
