(KZN.RU,
May 20, Ksenia Shvetsova). On June 26, Kazan will hold a big prom night instead
of a city holiday of the last bell. Ilnar Khidiyatov, the head of the
Department of Education, announced this at the Business Monday today.
He
explained that they made this decision in order not to distract graduates
before exams. The last bell for Kazan graduates will ring only on school
lineups, which will be held on May 23 and 25. “The examination time for
ninth-graders will start on May 24, and for graduates on May 27”, said I.
Khidiyatov.
The
decision to cancel the citywide last bell was made jointly with the teaching
staff, school principals and students themselves, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor
of Kazan. “The last bell will definitely be held in each school. But in
general, this is the right decision. We won’t distract them before exams”, he
said. “We will try to organize a big beautiful holiday after the results of the
exams passed”.
In total,
about 17 thousand students will take part in the state final certification this
year.
