(KZN.RU, December 18). Today, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, handed over the keys to new office vehicles to the heads of rural settlements and municipal institutions of the RT. In addition, the municipalities received another batch of school buses, which will organize the transportation of students on school routes.
The event took place on the ground in front of the building of the State Council of the RT. Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Presidential Administration of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Ekzam Gubaiydullin, the chairman of the Council of the Municipalities of the RT, and others attended the ceremony.
The President noted the increasing importance of local authorities. The successes of the republic depend on the effectiveness of the municipalities’ activities, he marked. Earlier, the President of Russia identified new strategic objectives for the development of the country by his Decree, said Rustam Minnikhanov, and an important place in the implementation of these tasks is given to municipalities.
“We provide systematic support to our municipalities. Today, 38 different programs are being implemented in the republic, most of which are aimed at improving the standard of living in rural areas”, said the President of the RT.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that a lot of attention is paid to strengthening the material and technical base of municipalities in the republic, in particular, to solving transport issues. “New cars will enable local leaders to significantly increase responsiveness and mobility. Also today, we are handing the keys to school buses, because regardless of the place of residence, the child must receive a quality education”, concluded the President.
Today, representatives of municipal districts received the keys to 100 new official vehicles, as well as 57 school buses, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

The school bus fleet in Tatarstan has 770 vehicles, 225 of which have been transferred to districts over the past three years. Today, buses carry almost 21000 students on 863 school routes.
