The Mayor of Kazan awarded the medal “For the Merit for the Republic of Tatarstan”

(KZN.RU, December 18). Today, Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, presented the Medal of the Order of Merit to the RT to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. The awarding ceremony took place during the XIII Congress of the Council of Municipalities of the RT in the GTRK “Korston”. Ilsur Metshin was honored with a high award for his special contribution to the preparation and holding of the FIFA World Cup -2018 in Kazan.

Mintimer Shaimiev, the State Councilor of the RT, Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council of the RT, Alexey Pesoshin, the prime minister of the RT, Ekzam Gubaidullin, the chairman of the Council of the Municipalities of the RT, members of the Council of the Federation and deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in Tatarstan took part in the XIII Congress of the Council of Municipalities of the RT.

The congress delegates were the heads of all 956 municipalities of the RT. The President noted that according to the results of 2018, the gross regional product (GRP) will exceed 2 trillion 420 billion rubles, with an increase of 101.5% from the previous year. The volume of industrial production will be estimated at 2 trillion 750 billion rubles, the estimated industrial production index is 101.9%.

According to the results of the current year, the volume of investments in fixed assets is estimated at 670 billion rubles, the retail trade turnover for the year is about 910 billion rubles with an increase of 105.6% over the previous year. The average monthly salary is expected by the end of the year in size 34 910 rubles. The unemployment rate will be 0.55%, which indicates a stable situation in the labor market.

The President of the RT noted that the region is third among other subjects of the federation in agriculture, fourth in industrial production, fifth in construction and housing construction, and eighth in retail trade.

In addition, according to preliminary results of 2018, Tatarstan among Russian regions ranks first in milk production, second in potato harvest, sixth in cattle and poultry meat production, and seventh in grain harvest.

Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that 38 programs are being implemented in the republic aimed at developing the social sphere and, in general, at improving the quality of life of citizens.

“The number of these programs is increasing, based on your wishes”, said Rustam Minnikhanov addressing delegates. “Of course, there are problems that we deal with, this is improving water quality and building roads, but it’s impossible to solve everything at the same time”.

Rustam Minnikhanov said that a new program is starting up in the republic: a major overhaul and construction of children's summer recreation camps. According to him, about 6-7 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes. “The program is necessary, and we will deal with it”, he assured.

The President also reminded that positive dynamics in demography has been achieved in the region over the past 7 years. Thus, life expectancy has increased by almost 4 years. But at the same time, the state of demography tends to decrease recently.

For 11 months of this year, the natural population growth amounted to about 1800 people, said Rustam Minnikhanov. According to him, today it is especially important to pay attention to the popularization of family values, strengthening the family institution.

“The society needs to have a cult of the family, to support women who have given birth to children at all levels, both at the federal and regional and municipal ones”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.

In 2018-2019, we have to build 29 new kindergartens in the republic for children under 3 years old. In total by 2021, it is planned to create more than 8 thousand places for children under 3 years old, the Government Portal of the RT quotes Rustam Minnikhanov.
