(KZN.RU, August 27, Ksenia Shvetsova). The capital of Tatarstan continues the development of the city project “Good Kazan”. The other day, another Week of Good starts that has become traditional for schoolchildren and teachers. First-graders will receive “Diaries of Good Deeds”, and charity fairs and concerts will be organized in schools, parks, squares, and houses of culture. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, came out with new ideas and fresh initiatives for charity development at the August Conference of Educators.
The project “Good Kazan”, which became the resource center of the presidential grants fund of the President of Russia, laid the foundation for many actions and events that have already shown results. Last year, on the initiative of the charitable foundation “Day of Good Deeds”, a charitable warehouse “Good Hands” opened in the city, for which the municipality allocated a premise of 1 thousand square meters. Ilsur Metshin noted that today more than 5 thousand people have received help from this warehouse.
One of the most striking and significant events of the project was the festival “Good Wave”, which is held jointly with the composer Igor Krutoy and allows children with different physical abilities to work together. This year, the festival will be held throughout the country with zonal stages in eight cities and the final gala concert in Kazan.
Ilnar Khidiyatov, the head of the Department of Education, noted that the Kazan schoolchildren and their parents were involved in volunteer and charitable activities. “In September, the start of a charity marathon in the educational institutions will take place in the whole academic year. We invite everyone to participate actively in the ongoing events”, said I. Khidiyatov.
The head of the city urged teachers and students to take an active part in the Week of Good, which will start very soon, as well as offer new ideas and initiatives for the development of charity, events, and actions. “We will together create all conditions for the realization of good ideas and bright beginnings. By doing this together, we not only help the needy, but also educate a new generation of our city. I am confident that our joint efforts will help make our Kazan a truly kind and happy city”, concluded I. Metshin.
