The President of the RT instructed to continue the creation of the basic departments of universities at enterprises

(KZN.RU, August 23). The training of demanded work specialties should be conducted in close cooperation with potential employers and equipment suppliers. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, said this today at the plenary session of the republican meeting of educators and scientists “Education of the RT – investments in the future”.

This year, the traditional meeting was held in Kukmor. Rustam Nigmatullin, the acting prime minister of the RT, Rafis Burganov, the deputy minister of Education and Science of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, heads of municipal districts of the Republic attended the meeting.

Rustam Minnikhanov marked that the issues of vocational education require special attention today. Thanks to the system of resource centers creating and cultivating in the republic, young Tatarstan students have the opportunity to study in modern repaired institutions provided with high-tech equipment. Since 2014, 31 resource centers have been established on the territory of the RT. Over 4.3 billion rubles were allocated for major repairs and equipping. Tatarstan enterprises take an active part in this work.

“The day before, we discussed the issues of personnel training in the OEZ “Alabuga”. Today our enterprises need specialists in mechatronics, robotics, electricians that meet modern requirements”, said the President of the RT.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted the progress achieved in this direction, reports the press service of the President of the RT. Following the finals of the VI National Championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkillsRussia), which was held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the team of the Republic of Tatarstan took the second place in the team event.

“We have the European Championship in Budapest EuroSkills-2018 ahead of us. The WorldSkills will take place in Kazan in August next year. We very much hope that our students will join the national team of Russia”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.

The President of the RT called ensuring of global competitiveness the priority task of higher education. “The innovative, technological development of the republic, the country directly depends on our universities. The federal project “Enhancing the competitiveness of Russian higher education”, aimed primarily at strengthening the partnership of the higher education system and the labor market, will contribute to the enhancement of their effective activity”, he said.

This task can be solved by creating basic departments of universities at enterprises (today 110 such departments have been created in the RT) and targeted training of personnel (the target reception was 1254 people in 2017). Also, the formation of popular competencies is of greater importance.

Before the beginning of the meeting, the President of the RT visited a number of educational institutions in the Kukmorsky district: the Kukmorsky Agrarian College, the kindergarten №5 “Yoldyzlyk – Sozvezdie”, the Kukmorsky multifaceted lyceum named after Atlas Bulatov.
